What are your handmade jewelry designs made from?
Natural and lab-created gemstones and glass beads - NO plastic or resin
Vintage keys and watch parts - new and vintage marbles
Base metals such as pure brass, recycled and pure copper
Silver-plated and gold-plated copper wire with a tarnish-resistant coating
‘Non-tarnish’ designs have had a final clear coating baked onto them*
Many of our custom designs can be made with sterling silver or silver filled; the price will vary according to the cost of purchasing those metals at the time of ordering.
How can I know what size to order?
Some guidelines may be found in the description area of the design. We do have a FREE guide: How to order the right size that you can request from our sign-up form on the Home page.
How should I care for my design?
When we ship your design, we include any special instructions - like our recipe for cleaning pure copper. We have also created a FREE guide: How to Clean your Jewelry that you can also request from our sign-up form on the Home page.
Do you offer discounts?
We do! Discounts and special sale events are offered at random times of the year via email notifications to individuals who have joined our VIP subscriber list using the form on the Home page.
What if someone loves my design and wants an exact copy – can you make a second one?
We will be pleased to try to duplicate it as best we can. Most of our designs are one-of-a-kind, but we can usually create something very similar.
Do you sell the batteries that go with the watches?
We don't sell batteries, but each quartz watch comes with a new battery in the watch, and we include a spare battery. Any jeweler will be able to change the #377 or equivalent battery.
Are your designs water-resistant?
We design our jewelry to be water resistant, which means that they can cope with occasional splashes of water or rain. However they are not waterproof (especially designs with watches), so we don't recommend that you wear your jewelry while you shower or go swimming in your pool or at the beach. The exception is our pure copper rings and bands, which will often get brighter when washing your hands or showering.
What are your shipping policies?
At this time, we do not ship internationally - only within the United States.
We use USPS Priority Mail small flat-rate envelopes or boxes because smaller-sized packages can be easily lost. USPS also includes tracking and up to $50 insurance using this method. If your purchase is more than $50, we pay for the extra insurance coverage. We are not responsible for lost packages, but we will assist you by communicating with USPS to try and recover your package as soon as possible. If you provide an incorrect address and the package is returned to us, we will let you know this has happened as soon as it is returned. You will need to pay for extra shipping costs to the correct address!
How soon do you ship?
The time we need to prepare an order varies as to whether it’s an already-made item or a custom made for you design. Orders for already made items that are received on Friday thru Sunday are processed on Monday. Because we use USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate, your item should arrive approximately 3 days after we ship it. If you include your email during checkout, we can set you up to receive shipping updates.
Because custom orders are not made till you place your order, we stay in communication with you during the process via your shared phone number and will send you an email or text notification (or both) when your item has been shipped. Because we use USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate, your item should arrive 3 days after we ship it.
What are your return and exchange policies?
1 - It is very important to us that you feel completely satisfied with your purchase and hope that your transaction will be flawless. But mistakes happen. Please communicate with us by email within 7 days of receipt to resolve any problems. You are welcome to send photos to assist in communication. 2 - All designs are handcrafted and may have ‘handmade marks’ from hammers, etc.; so do not expect them to be ‘machine perfect.’ Our commitment to excellence includes a one-year repair-or-replace guarantee in craftsmanship! We split shipping costs on repairs or replacement items: You pay to return it to us; then we cover the shipping costs to return the repaired or replacement item to you.
3 - Because there are no refunds on custom personalized orders, please double-check your measurements. Because no two gemstones are alike, the replacement of broken gemstones will depend on the cost of the new replacement stone. And because no two gemstones are the same size, it usually means we will have to remake the design from the beginning. We will need to communicate to work out a win-win solution.
4 - All returned items must be shipped back within 14 days of delivery in original condition at the buyer’s expense. No refunds will be processed until we receive the return of the item in its original condition so please use a shipping method that includes tracking.
What is included in your ‘one-year repair or replace’ guarantee of craftsmanship?
We handcraft most of the metal elements in our designs. Because we do not manufacture any glass or metal beads, gemstones, lobster or button clasps,etc. used in our designs, we cannot control their wearability. We are open to replacing any clasps that break within the first year. Because our suppliers often change their inventory, we don’t always have the ability to replace broken glass beads, gemstones, or metal beads with an exact duplicate.
Please keep your order invoice with your handmade jewelry design for 365 days to assist in verifying the guarantee! Within the first year of your enjoying one of our designs, if something goes wrong, PLEASE contact us because we are open to working out a solution that will be a win-win for both of us. We value excellent customer service and your loyalty!
* Our non-tarnish coating is vulnerable to cracking when you bend or squeeze it to make the design fit you. Once a crack appears, the metal is exposed and may tarnish in that area. That’s why the exact measurement of your wrist is so important so we can help you avoid this frustration.
